The moment Max signs their divorce papers, Lola pops the champagne. They're finally free! The two have tried for a long time, but they’re just too different. Excited to start her new life, Lola moves out that same day. But the not-yet-discovered painter quickly finds out that she’s not good with the pragmatic stuff and quickly gets herself into trouble. Max offers to help, and Lola’s forced to move back into ‘their’ home. At first, all seems fine. They manage to co-exist quite peacefully, but the friendly mood soon evaporates. Despite both Lola and Max's efforts to go their separate ways, fate continues to throw the two together.

Much like the novel, the cover design takes a light-hearted approach to divorce and features a taste of drama, romance and humor. To create this, our cover cooks baked a two-tier wedding cake topped with a bride pushing her groom over the edge and sending him headfirst to the ground. The wedding cake is finished with the title and author's name perfectly piped in celebratory royal icing.
