In the near future, human beings have left the reins of their political management to Cónclave, an artificial intelligence that watches over their well-being. Cónclave has also created the androids Adam, who are in every house to help with any type of task. With this approach, it has been possible to stand out in the development of the entertainment industry, such as video games, including Bachelor, a video game in which player characters have entered into war with non-player characters controlled by the brain of the player. In this science fiction novel, Carlos Sisí explores the topics of artificial intelligence and virtual realities to answer questions about our identity and our place in the universe when our struggle for survival is over.

For a suitably futuristic cover design, our cover cooks turned to the history books to draw inspiration from representations of the great philosophers of our time. Auguste Rodin's bronze sculpture, The Thinker, in particular, depicts a nude male figure sitting on a rock and is often used as an image to represent philosophy. Drawing parallels to The Thinker, our cover cooks' 3D rendering of an android can be seen leaning over deep in thought, his left elbow placed on his left thigh holding the weight of his chin on his left thumb. Instead of a rock, the human-like machine is seen sitting on a metallic sphere deep in thought, the sphere reminiscent of the Farnese Atlas, a marble sculpture of Atlas holding up a celestial globe.
