While each of the titles within The WWII Collection is standalone, the publisher chose to market the four ebooks as an action-packed historical series. In Take or Destroy, Lieutenant-Colonel George Hockold oversees ‘Operation Cut-Price' in the little port of Qaba, carried out by perhaps the oddest assortment of makeshift commandos ever brought together. Set in France during the winter of 1944, Army of Shadows follows Neville and Urqhart, the only surviving crewmembers of the Lancaster bomber who are forced to join forces with the men of the French Resistance. The Fox from His Lair sees the whole of southern England transformed into one huge armed camp as the Allied forces make their final preparations for the long-awaited invasion of Nazi-occupied France. It was at this crucial moment that a German spy emerged from his lair. Swordpoint follows a mixed bunch of wartime warriors as they try and take Monte Cassino, a German fortress in Italy.
Similar to The Raf Trilogy, the cover recipe gives a fresh new taste to the original nostalgic covers; taking similar scenes from World War II and bringing them into the 21st century through 3D image renderings.
